The New York Giants have signed former Seattle Seahawks and Oakland Raiders linebacker Aaron Curry. Curry announced the news on Twitter Friday.
Giants sign linebacker Aaron Curry
Aaron Curry will have his third team in as many seasons.

Curry spent all but two games of last season on the physically unable to perform list after being traded in 2011 from the Seahawks to the Raiders for a seventh-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft. Curry was drafted No. 4 overall in the 2009 draft by the Seahawks and signed a $60 million contract with $34 million in guaranteed money upon being selected.
Many expected the Giants to be in the market for a linebacker early in the 2013 draft, but the team opted to address the offensive line instead. New York actually didn’t address the position at all during draft weekend, and the team was left to find some help on the free agent market.
Curry will need to stay healthy first and foremost, and expectations for him should be low, but the disappointing linebacker could have one last shot to revamp his career.
