New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski will undergo a fourth surgical procedure to treat his left forearm injury on Monday, according to the Boston Herald.
Rob Gronkowski injury: Patriots TE to undergo forearm surgery
Gronkowski and the Patriots hope this procedure will solve his ongoing issue.

The team hopes this operation will finally end Gronkowski’s ongoing battle with an infection that’s affected him for months. Scheduled for Monday, the procedure could involve replacing the plate currently keeping his broken forearm in place.
If all goes well, Gronkowsk will finally be free of infection and a 10-11 week recovery phase will be implemented.
Gronkowski suffered the initial injury back in November. He managed to return for the playoffs after missing five games, but re-injured the same arm against the Houston Texans.
In addition to the problems with Gronkowski’s arm, he also may need back surgery, according to ESPN. Since entering the league, Gronkowski has been a huge part of the Patriots offense. He has 38 career touchdowns in his three seasons with New England.
The Patriots and Gronkowski should know more about the star tight end’s health after his surgery.
