Drew Rosenhaus files grievance against DeSean Jackson for unpaid loans

NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus has filed a grievance against Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson for unpaid loans. Jackson parted ways with Rosenhaus in May after more than three years with him.

NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus filed a grievance against Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeSean Jackson, according to Rand Getlin and Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports. Rosenhaus alleges that Jackson owes him more than $400,000 in unpaid loans.

Jackson and Rosenhaus split late in May, and Rosenhaus claims that Jackson owes him on multiple loans, beginning when Rosenhaus was hired to represent him in Nov. 2009. Agents giving out loans isn’t a rarity, especially for younger players who have yet to hit the big time.

That said, Jackson has made it big since hiring Rosenhaus. He signed a five-year contract with the Eagles in 2012, and could earn up to $48.5 million over the duration of the deal. Jackson currently does not have an agent and according to the report, a spokesperson for Jackson denied that he had been entertaining any new agents.

Rosenhaus’ grievance was filed with the NFL Players Association. At this point, there is no statement from Jackson or the NFLPA. Of course, if it’s found that Jackson does owe on these loans, it shouldn’t be a big deal to pay them back. The dollar amount involved isn’t anything to sneeze at, but it basically doesn’t amount to much more than a week’s work for Jackson, if that.
