Connor Barth injury: Buccaneers kicker out for season
Tampa Bay is bringing in a new kicker after its incumbent went down with an Achilles injury.

The Buccaneers have signed former New York Giants kicker and two-time Super Bowl champion Lawrence Tynes to replace Barth.
Barth, 27, has been very productive in his four years in Tampa Bay after spending his rookie season with the Kansas City Chiefs. Barth was solid last season, hitting on 28 of 33 field goal attempts including an incredible nine from 50+ yards.
In 2011, Barth was even more consistent by nailing 26 of 28 attempts. In his career, Barth has also knocked through every extra-point attempt he has even tried.
Tynes is an eight-year veteran and has had a productive career to this point. Tynes was a good kicker in 2012, making 33 field goals on 39 attempts for Big Blue. The prior season, Tynes only hit 79.2 percent of his field goals.
