New York Jets quarterback Geno Smith plans to practice on Monday despite his sore ankle. Smith took over for Mark Sanchez and likely would have played deep into the third quarter if he didn't roll his ankle while rolling out to evade pressure. Smith said after the game that he planned to play in Week 2, and if he's good to go for practice on Monday, there shouldn't be much to worry about.
NFL news roundup: Geno Smith plans to practice, Kendall Hunter activated
Quarterback Geno Smith says he plans to practice on Monday, Kendall Hunter was activated from the PUP list and more you might have missed from Saturday.

Here’s what else you might have missed from Saturday:
San Francisco 49ers running back Kendall Hunter wasn't active in the team's first preseason game, but the 49ers recently activated him from the Active/PUP list. Hunter isn't practicing on Saturday, but he plans on being in uniform for the team's FanFest and is expected to join the team soon. He's expected to be the primary backup for Frank Gore this season, but could be competing with LaMichael James.
San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te'o was seen wearing a walking boot during Saturday's practice. It's unknown what kind of injury he has, or even if there is an injury, as there haven't been any big reports to that effect just yet. Te'o played nine snaps in San Diego's preseason opener and didn't appear to sustain any injuries, though he also did not record any tackles.
The Oakland Raiders used Sio Moore as a pass-rushing defensive end on passing downs in the preseason on Friday, and head coach Dennis Allen says that's mostly the plan for him going forward. Allen said that Moore isn't Von Miller, but that Moore will be used in much the same way to keep him fresh and get the best use of his talents.
