The San Francisco 49ers have signed wide receivers Austin Collie and Lavelle Hawkins. San Francisco held a workout for the two -- as well as Laurent Robinson -- on Friday; Robinson didn't make the cut. This isn't the first time the 49ers have worked out Collie this offseason, but the team finally pulled the trigger after getting a good look at their receivers in training camp. Michael Crabtree, Mario Manningham and Kyle Williams are all working through injuries right now and other receivers have been banged up as well.
NFL news roundup: 49ers sign Austin Collie, Justin Pugh suffers concussion
The San Francisco 49ers signed a pair of receivers, New York Giants rookie Justin Pugh suffered a concussion and more you might have missed from Friday in the NFL.

Here’s what else you might have missed from Friday:
New York Giants offensive tackle Justin Pugh sat out Friday's practice after he "got hit in the head" on Thursday. Pugh is the Giants' first-round pick and suffering a concussion this early is definitely a bad sign. The Giants will likely give him as much time as he needs and then some, meaning he'l likely miss a few practices at the very least.
The Oakland Raiders signed kicker Sebastian Janikowski to a four-year contract extension on Friday. Janikowski has been one of the best kickers in the league since the Raiders made him the No. 17 overall pick in the 2000 NFL Draft. He's entering his 14th NFL season and the Raiders were likely eager to get him a new deal what with punter Shane Lechler leaving in free agency.
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Asa Jackson was suspended for the first eight games of the regular season for violating the league's policy on performance-enhancing drugs. It's Jackson's second failed drug test, with the first coming last season. Apparently, the substance he had been taken has since been approved, but he failed his test before that point, so the suspension is justified.
Buffalo Bills wide receiver Stevie Johnson inured his hamstring on Friday. Johnson left practice early and will undergo an MRI to determine the severity of the injury. It's tough luck for the Bills, who need Johnson healthy; he was the team's top receiver last season. Johnson caught 79 passes for 1,046 yards and six touchdowns and is set to be their most productive receiver again, provided he can stay healthy.
The Philadelphia Eagles won't release wide receiver Riley Cooper, at least according to head coach Chip Kelly. Kelly said that the team hasn't even discussed releasing the receiver, who found himself on trouble Wednesday after a video surfaced of him saying a racial slur at a concert. He's recently left the team to undergo counseling.
