The Arizona Cardinals defeated the Detroit Lions on Sunday afternoon, earning their first victory of the season while giving Detroit its first taste of defeat in a 25-21 ball game.

Perhaps even more important for the Lions was the injury sustained by running back Reggie Bush, who was hit in the knee by a helmet during the latter stages of the second quarter and didn't play much after that.

Bush is optimistic he won’t have to sit out for any games, however, according to the USA Today.

“I’m not too concerned,” Bush said. “We’ll see how it goes tomorrow and take it one day at a time. I’m not too concerned, though. I think I’ll be alright and I’m going to do everything I can to get back on the field Sunday, even if I have to rehab 24 hours a day.”

Before Bush was injured, he had 25 rushing and 44 receiving yards after totaling 191 all-purpose yards in the season opening win over the Minnesota Vikings.

For the Cardinals, star wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald aggravated a hamstring issue he's been dealing with, forcing him to miss part of the Detroit game. Fitzgerald was limited to two catches on the day, but insisted after the game he will be playing next week against the New Orleans Saints, according to NFL.com.
