The New England Patriots are 2-0, but they don't have much to show for it. Both wins were close over opponents who weren't expected to approach playoff contention before the season began, and in that span the offense has been besieged by injuries. Rob Gronkowski is still on the mend, running back Shane Vereen is out for the season and no one is exactly sure when Danny Amendola is coming back.
How to watch Buccaneers vs. Patriots 2013 online, TV schedule, radio and more
The Buccaneers and Patriots have only played ugly, low-scoring games so far this season, but the Pats are 2-0 and will host the Bucs in Foxborough as big favorites.
Fortunately for the Pats, the schedule remains relatively easy, at least if the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' first two games are any indication. The Bucs head to Foxborough at 0-2, hoping to find some semblance of an offense. While Doug Martin remains a major threat, quarterback Josh Freeman is completing just 45 percent of his passes so far and has two touchdowns to two interceptions. Now in his fifth year in the NFL, Freeman's lack of consistency has to be troublesome for fans.
The Pats are big favorites to win -- the spread is nine points according to Odds Shark -- and it’s not too difficult to understand why. The Buccaneers will stay within shouting distance if the Patriots’ offense stalls again, however, setting up another potentially ugly, tight-knit affair for both teams.
