Terrelle Pryor has concussion symptoms, Matt Flynn will start for Raiders

Terrelle Pryor was set to make the start in Week 4, but he reportedly had concussion symptoms on Saturday night. Matt Flynn will start in his place.

Oakland Raiders quarterback Terrelle Pryor had concussion syndromes late on Saturday and will not start in Week 4, reports FOX Sports' Jay Glazer. Matt Flynn will get the start against the Indianapolis Colts.

There has been a bit of confusion about the Raiders’ quarterback situation. The San Francisco Chronicle first reported that Pryor will start after passing the concussion protocol, which Glazer confirmed in his own report, but Pryor’s concussion issues resurfaced shortly afterwards. It’s unknown if the Raiders will make him inactive for the 4:25 p.m. ET kickoff, but he is not expected to play.

The Raiders acquired Flynn from the Seattle Seahawks in the offseason, but he lost the starting job to Pryor in training camp. A seventh-round pick with the Green Bay Packers in 2008, Flynn will be making just the third start of his six-year NFL career. Undrafted rookie Matt McGloin is expected to back him up.
