Jake Locker carted off with hip injury

The Titans QB grabbed his right leg/hip as he went down in the third quarter.

Jake Locker left Sunday's game against the New York Jets on a cart after suffering what was described as a hip injury in the third quarter. Backup Ryan Fitzpatrick replaced him.

The Titans quarterback was hit by Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson on an incomplete pass to Nate Washington at the 11:19 mark. He went down on the field, in obvious pain and grabbing his right side.

The exact nature of the injury is unknown at the moment. Locker did give the crowd a thumbs-up signal as he left the game in the cart.

Locker was in the midst of a career day. He had completed 18-of-24 passes for 149 yards and three touchdowns. The Titans were leading the Jets, 24-6, when Locker went down. His three touchdowns doubled his season total so far.
