The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and New York Jets are kicking off their regular season on Sept. 8 at MetLife Stadium, with the two teams having very different expectations.
How to watch Buccaneers vs. Jets online, TV schedule, radio and more
The season begins with a juicy matchup at MetLife Stadium highlighting a man known as an island.

New York is reeling with all kinds of problems heading into the season. Head coach Rex Ryan is under scrutiny after he inserted Mark Sanchez into the fourth quarter of a preseason game against the New York Giants, only to watch him get injured. Now, rookie Geno Smith is starting after tossing three interceptions in the aforementioned Giants contest.
Tampa Bay is being looked at as a possible playoff team after it made serious additions, highlighted by acquiring former Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis. The Buccaneers also went out and signed Dashon Goldson, turning what was a weak secondary into potentially one of the best in football. The big question for Tampa Bay is whether Josh Freeman becomes the answer behind center or if he's just another guy.
