The Tennessee Titans travel to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers to kick of their respective seasons. The two teams met in Week 6 last year, with the Titans coming away with the 26-23 win.
How to watch Titans vs. Steelers online, TV schedule, radio and more
The Steelers attempt to overcome key roster losses while the Titans are hoping that offseason acquisitions can improve their defense.
The Steelers missed the playoff for just the second time in the last six years last season, finishing 8-8. Climbing back into the postseason will be no easy task, as they've lost some key pieces on both sides of the ball. Speedy downfield threat Mike Wallace took his talents to South Beach in free agency, and hard-hitting linebacker James Harrison is now patrolling the field in Cincinnati. Second-round pick Le'Veon Bell looks to be an upgrade to the running game, but the rookie will miss the opener as he continues to recover from a foot injury.
The Titans are looking to end a four-year playoff drought, but will need to climb over the Houston Texans and remodeled Indianapolis Colts in order to make it out of the AFC South. They made moves in the offseason in attempt to shore up a defense that allowed a franchise-worst 471 points last season, but issues with stopping the run persisted through the preseason. On offense, they're hoping Jake Locker can step up and be the answer at the quarterback position, while Chris Johnson looks to return to the form that once made him the most electrifying player in football.
