Steve Smith’s knee is just fine, thank you

Who needs 100 percent knee functionality, anyway?

SB Nation 2014 NFL Playoff Coverage

There was a lot of talk this week about Steve Smith's knee injury and whether it would keep him out of the Carolina Panthers' second-round playoff game against the San Francisco 49ers. Smith said himself earlier in the week that the knee had gone from 71 percent to 57 percent.

Well, apparently 57 percent is still pretty good. Smith reeled in a 31-yard touchdown pass in the second quarter to give his team the lead, then let everybody know the knee was feeling fine.
