Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks, one of the key parts of the Giants' offense over the past five seasons, is not expected to return to the team, Ian Rapoport is reporting.
Hakeem Nicks, Giants expected to part ways, per report
The five-year veteran out of UNC was reportedly fined multiple times by the Giants for arriving late to meetings and missing treatment for his injuries.

In addition to injury problems, Nicks was reportedly fined “repeatedly” for tardiness and missed injury treatments, and the two sides are not expected to come to a new deal. The five-year veteran out of North Carolina ranks 17th among all active players in receiving yards per game.
Nicks was second on the team in receiving this season (behind Victor Cruz) and younger options Rueben Randle and Jerrel Jernigan can probably expect to hold a bigger role in the offense unless the Giants make a move to bring in a replacement for Nicks.
This season, Nicks caught 56 passes for 896 yards and zero touchdowns. His best season came in 2011, when he caught 76 passes for 1,192 yards ad seven scores.
