The Giants didn’t make a switch at head coach following their season, but will need to shuffle their coaching staff.

Gilbride is 62 years old and began his professional coaching career in 1989. He started with the Houston Oilers as quarterbacks coach before being promoted to offensive coordinator. His highest job in the league came in 1997 with the San Diego Chargers, where he served as head coach for 22 games before being fired with a 6-16 record.
A series of quick jobs following his tenure in San Diego became the hallmark of Gilbride's career until he found a long-term home with the Giants in 2004. Early success developing Eli Manning as the team's quarterbacks coach was met with a promotion to offensive coordinator, a position he held with the team until now.
Gilbride’s time in New York is characterized as one of inconsistency. The Giants rarely ranked highly in offensive rankings, but the team managed to win two Super Bowls on the back of Manning’s reliability in the playoffs. There is no current indication who will succeed Gilbride for the Giants.
