Caldwell spent the last two seasons in Baltimore, beginning as the quarterback coach and taking over the offensive coordinator duties when Cam Cameron was fired midway through the 2012 season. The Ravens improved during the stretch run in 2012, but had serious issues on offense this year. Baltimore finished 29th in the NFL in yards and 25th in points during Caldwell's first full season as offensive coordinator. The Ravens finished last in the NFL in yards per play.
The Titans are in the market for a head coach after they fired Mike Munchak on Saturday. Munchak was reportedly fired after he turned down a two-year contract extension with the condition he fire several assistant coaches. Caldwell isn’t likely to be the only candidate in Tennessee with Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports reporting Seattle defensive coordinator Dan Quinn could also be a candidate.
