NFL weather forecast, Week 9: A taste of winter

Snow in the Northeast, wind in the Plains and rain in the Pacific Northwest. What kind of weather will your team see in Week 9?

The main weather concerns for Week 9 are at the two northern corners of the United States, from Seattle in the Pacific Northwest to Foxboro in the Northeast, with a little wind in the nation’s heartland.

Many have already seen the images of snow falling at Gillette Stadium in Massachusetts. A strong storm system moving along the New England coast will keep snow, rain and strong winds around through the afternoon and evening. The snow and rain should diminish by the time the Broncos and Patriots kick off this afternoon, but it will be brutally cold with strong and blustery winds that could reach 40 to 50 mph.

Through the central part of the United States, wind will be the main issue. Breezy to windy conditions are likely from Texas up to Minnesota, with winds between 10 to 20 mph and gusts of 25 to 30 mph.

In the Pacific Northwest for the Seahawks game, rain showers will likely make for a wet outing in Seattle.
