Robert Griffin III's return to the field Sunday has also brought back reports of a divided locker room and front office in Washington, all centered on the quarterback. Reports that Griffin's teammates have felt "alienated" by the quarterback's presence may have been unfounded, however.
No, RG3 did not ‘alienate’ the Washington locker room last week
Washington’s decision to start Robert Griffin III is already sparking reports of divisiveness within the organization, but one report may have been overblown.

According to the Richmond Times-Dispatch, when Washington players were yelling over Griffin’s press conference Friday, it was not in protest of Griffin but of the team’s decision to allow media into the locker room following afternoon practice. Normally, media are only allowed in the room following morning practice, but Washington made an exception Friday because players had been avoiding reporters during the earlier sessions.
Washington players told the Times-Dispatch that the yelling had "nothing to do with Griffin." That should be somewhat reassuring to Washington fans, who couldn't have been happy that turmoil arose almost at the exact minute that Griffin was announced as this week's starter against the Minnesota Vikings.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported Friday that the head coach Jay Gruden was overruled by general manager Bruce Snyder and team owner Dan Snyder, who made the decision on high to start Griffin this week for the first time since his Week 2 ankle injury.
