Delanie Walker out with concussion

The Titans tight end won’t return after taking a hard shot to the head.

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker suffered a concussion against the Baltimore Ravens and will not return, the team announced.

Walker, who leads the Titans in receptions and yardage, took a nasty shot to the head from Terrence Brooks while attempting to haul in a pass over the middle in the second quarter. Brooks's helmet collided directly with the head of Walker, who remained on the ground for several minutes before being helped off the field by medical staff. The Titans wasted little time, declaring him out almost immediately.

Here’s the hit that sent him off:

Brooks was not flagged for the play, although it was clearly a helmet-to-helmet hit. Walker had three receptions for 37 yards before being sent off.

The Titans are now down to Richard Gordon and Chase Coffman at tight end. Craig Stevens, the team's best blocking tight end, was placed on injured reserve earlier this month.
