‘Sunday Night Football’ live stream: How to watch Cowboys vs. Eagles 2014 online

After getting blown out by the Eagles on Thanksgiving, the Cowboys will be looking for revenge in this primetime affair.

Tim Heitman-USA TODAY Sports

Round two of one of the NFL's best rivalries takes place this week when the Philadelphia Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday Night Football. The Eagles are coming off a 24-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks at home. Because the Cowboys beat the Chicago Bears last week, these division rivals are now tied at 9-4 heading into this critical matchup.

The winner of this week’s game will be alone in first place in the NFC East with just two more games to be played. Philly won in blowout fashion in Dallas on Thanksgiving, 33-10. If the Eagles earn the season sweep over their rivals, it will give them a stranglehold on the division and a chance to win the East for the second year in a row.

In the first matchup, Eagles running back LeSean McCoy was the star of the game, rushing for 159 yards and a score. Philly's defense suffocated Tony Romo, holding him in check for a mere 199 passing yards along with two interceptions. It was his worst performance this year, so he'll be looking to rebound this time around.

The Cowboys and Eagles are not only fighting for the NFC East crown, but also a first-round bye in the playoffs. Both teams are just a game behind the 10-3 Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals for the No. 1 seed in the NFC.

Philadelphia comes into this game 3-0 in the division, and in the last two weeks, goes on the road to face two teams it has already taken down this season: Washington and the New York Giants. Dallas is 2-2 in the NFC East with its final games coming against the AFC South-leading Indianapolis Colts and then at Washington. It's clear Philly has the easier schedule going forward, making this even more of a must-win game for Dallas.
