We don't have a full slate of games this Sunday, as Week 16 means a couple games were played on Saturday. But there's still 12 games to watch, many of which have huge playoff implications with multiple divisions still up for grabs. Week 15 saw all of the AFC South, AFC West and AFC East wrapped up by the Indianapolis Colts, Denver Broncos and New England Patriots, respectively.
NFL TV schedule, Week 16: Seahawks vs. Cardinals headlines Sunday’s games
The Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks combine for Sunday’s biggest and best game for Week 16, with the NFC West on the line.
In the early games on Sunday, all but one game has major playoff implications -- the game between the Minnesota Vikings and Miami Dolphins. That could end up being a big game, but other matchups have much more on the line. In the AFC North, the Baltimore Ravens will take on the Houston Texans, half a game back of the Cincinnati Bengals, who won't play until Monday night. Then there's the Pittsburgh Steelers, who are also right behind the Bengals and facing the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Detroit Lions, in first place in the NFC North, will try and keep that lead while they play the Chicago Bears, and the Green Bay Packers will try and make up ground in their game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The NFC South may be the worst division in football by far, but the New Orleans Saints and Atlanta Falcons will play each other on Sunday, while the Carolina Panthers, in second place, will take on the Cleveland Browns, probably with Cam Newton in the lineup.
Finally, to wrap up the morning, the Patriots try and lock up the No. 1 seed in the AFC against the 3-11 New York Jets.
In the afternoon, the biggest game is the one between the Indianapolis Colts and Dallas Cowboys. The Colts have locked up the AFC South and probably won't get the No. 1 seed, but there's still a chance, while the Cowboys need to stay ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East. The New York Giants vs. St. Louis Rams game has no playoff implications, but the Buffalo Bills are still technically fighting for a wild card berth when they play the Oakland Raiders.
For Sunday Night Football, the NFC West is on the line as the Seattle Seahawks face the Arizona Cardinals. Arizona can lock up home-field advantage and the NFC West with a win, while Seattle can take over the division if they're victorious.
