Arian Foster threatened to punch Case Keenum if he cried after win

Case Keenum got emotional after the Texans won Sunday, but Arian Foster warned he better not get too emotional.

Case Keenum needed nine starts to get his first win as an NFL quarterback, but after an 0-8 record in 2013, the third-year quarterback led the Houston Texans to a 25-13 victory over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16.

Keenum was signed by the Texans just last week after injuries to quarterbacks Ryan Mallett, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Tom Savage. It wasn't the smoothest performance for Keenum, who completed 20-of-42 passes for 185 yards with one interception and no touchdowns, but it was enough to outlast a Baltimore team that struggled to do much offensively. After the game, Keenum gave a short speech to the team about what the moment meant to him.

Things were emotional for Keenum after the game, who "got choked up" according to Duane Brown, but he didn't go so far as to cry, because that probably wouldn't have ended well. Via CultureMap Houston:

“I couldn’t put it all into words, how special it was for me,” Keenum says later at the interview podium. “Arian (Foster) said he was going to punch me if I cried.”

All joking aside, it was a huge win for a team hanging on by a thread in the playoff race. The Texans attacked the Ravens with a run-heavy offensive game plan with Foster leading the way. The three-time Pro Bowl running back finished with 96 yards rushing on 25 carries and threw the only passing touchdown of the game for Houston when he lobbed a five-yard pass into the back of the end zone to C.J. Fiedorowicz to give the Texans a 16-0 lead just before halftime.

With a regular season finale against the Jacksonville Jaguars on the way, the Texans still have postseason hopes alive, but would need a win coupled with losses by both the Baltimore Ravens and San Diego Chargers to get in to the playoffs.
