If the Ravens lose or the Chargers win, that ends Baltimore's playoff hopes. They enter this game at 9-6 following their Week 16 loss to the Houston Texans. The Browns enter at 7-8 having lost their last four games and five of their previous six. Cleveland will also be going with a new starting quarterback after losing both Johnny Manziel and Brian Hoyer to injury during last week's loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Undrafted free agent Connor Shaw will make his first NFL start this week with Manziel on injured reserve and Hoyer doubtful to play with a shoulder injury. The Ravens’ pass defense ranks 28th leading into this game, so it wouldn’t be completely unexpected if Shaw has a successful first outing.
