UPDATE: The Harbaugh era in San Francisco is officially over after the team announced it and Harbaugh had agreed to mutually part ways.
Jim Harbaugh’s last 49ers game is a circus
Harbaugh’s going away party is already starting well.

*****
This is a big day in Jim Harbaugh news, as he coaches what is almost certainly his last game with the San Francisco 49ers, before taking a new job, likely with the Michigan Wolverines. That means all of Bay Area media is going to document Harbaugh’s every move during Sunday’s 49ers game against Arizona.
There are more than 20 reporters/camera people in a semi circle waiting for Jim Harbaugh to walk out of a tunnel onto the field. #weirdday
— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) December 28, 2014 Seemingly knowing the group was waiting for him, Harbaugh pulled some misdirection.
And Harbaugh just emerged FROM THE OTHER TUNNEL. To a load roar.
— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) December 28, 2014 After faking out the media, Harbaugh met with 49ers owner Jed York in what had to be an awkward meeting.

— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) December 28, 2014 And a little back-slap hug at the end of the Harbaugh-York chat. Drama.
— Tim Kawakami (@timkawakami) December 28, 2014 Harbaugh loved the chat, clearly:

— Julie Phayer (@juliephayer) December 28, 2014 Even though everyone and their mother is reporting that Michigan is in the Bay Area to meet with Harbaugh and that he will accept that job, the Niners owner said that the two have not spoken about it.
I am not reporting that Jim Harbaugh has taken another job. The opposite! Jed York told me they Have NOT Spoken about the Michigan job.
— Alex Flanagan (@Alex_Flanagan) December 28, 2014 This should be a fun one.
