New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz thinks the team has a problem, but he's already figured out a solution. Cruz says that in order for the Giants to be successful, "there needs to be an increased number of targets in my direction," according to Ebenezer Samuel of the New York Daily News.
Victor Cruz says he needs more targets for Giants to win; fantasy value high despite poor opener
New York Giants wide receiver Victor Cruz says he needs more targets if the team is going to be successful. We break down the fantasy implications.

Cruz has certainly been productive enough in the past to make statements like this. His yardage totals have dropped every season he's been in the league, but he still caught 73 passes for 998 yards and four touchdowns in 14 games last season. He's New York's top receiver and in Monday's loss to the Detroit Lions, Cruz caught just two passes for 24 yards.
Fantasy Impact: Of course, Cruz actually saw six targets on the day and had two notable drops. It seems a little early for him to be talking about targets when he was so unreliable in the opener, but it doesn't sound like he's angry or anything along those lines. In other words, Cruz is not a disgruntled receiver and fantasy owners don't need to worry about that. You can bet that quarterback Eli Manning heard him loud and clear, however, and that Cruz will see plenty of targets against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2.
