Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson had a solid game against the St. Louis Rams in Week 1, but his second outing could be much tougher. Patterson and the Vikings are taking on the New England Patriots, a team that has struggled with its secondary for some time, but now has a healthy Darrelle Revis to hold things down. And it sounds like Revis could see significant time on Patterson in the game, per Mike Reiss of ESPN.
Cordarrelle Patterson could see Darrelle Revis on Sunday; fantasy owners hold their breath
Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson could find himself matched up against Darrelle Revis on Sunday. We break down the fantasy implications.

It "makes sense" to match Revis up with Patterson, according to Reiss. The Vikings will likely do their best to get Patterson away from Revis and leave Greg Jennings on that side. Revis is not a cornerback who typically moves a ton, but rather takes away an entire side of the field. Patterson tends to move around a lot in the formation.
Fantasy Impact: The threat is there for Patterson, whether Revis is placed on him or sticks to one side. Somebody’s production is going to be hurt, in other words. Patterson caught three passes for 26 yards and had three rushes for 102 yards and a touchdown against the Rams. That’s not the kind of thing that Revis typically defends against, but smart money is on the Vikings wanting to get the ball to Patterson more and more.
