Arizona Cardinals wide receiver John Brown took part in 43 of the team's 74 offensive snaps against the San Diego Chargers on Monday. Brown, a 2014 third-round pick, scored the game-winning touchdown and looked very good doing it. There's a lot of hype around him, much of it coming from the Cardinals themselves, but it seems warranted at this point.
John Brown plays 58 percent of offensive snaps, could have fantasy value
Rookie receiver John Brown played 58 percent of offensive snaps against the San Diego Chargers. We break down the fantasy implications.

Late in the game, the Cardinals ran a three-wide set and threw a screen pass to Brown. He took it in from 13 yards out, giving Arizona a one-point lead and the win. He finished the game with two receptions for 29 yards and saw five targets go his way. That’s a lot of playing time for a third-round wide receiver, but the Cardinals are a team that likes to throw the ball and Brown is already the third receiver on the field.
Fantasy Impact: Brown has drawn comparisons to T.Y. Hilton in Indianapolis, where Arizona head coach Bruce Arians used to serve as a coordinator. That's a favorable comparison, as Hilton used to be the third man on the field and he played about as often as Brown did in this game on a consistent basis. Brown isn't a must-start by any means, but he would be a solid pickup as a deep WR option or a potential future starter.
