Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green has been ruled out with what was initially diagnosed as a right toe injury against the Atlanta Falcons. According to Pro Football Talk, the injury actually a strained ligament in his foot. Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reported earlier that wideout had aggravated the same injury that landed him on the injury report this week.
A.J. Green out with toe injury vs. Falcons
The Bengals are without their top receiver against the Falcons.
Green was listed as probable with a foot injury coming into the game. He missed practice on Thursday but returned on Friday. The team said the injury would not limit him against the Falcons.
The Bengals are having some serious injury problems with their receivers. No. 2 wideout Marvin Jones is inactive on Sunday and tight end Tyler Eifert has been placed on the short-term injured reserve after injuring his elbow last week against the Baltimore Ravens.
With Green and Jones out, the next two receivers on the depth chart are Mohamed Sanu and Brandon Tate.
