‘Thursday Night Football’ 2014 live stream: How to watch Giants vs. Washington online

The Giants and Washington face off in a Thursday night battle between NFC East rivals.

The New York Giants picked up their first win of the season on Sunday against the Houston Texans and will go for their second straight victory on Thursday night against a Washington team that suffered a tough loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

The G-men had their most impressive performance of the season on both sides of the ball in Week 3, racking up a season-high 419 yards on offense while the defense forced three turnovers and held the Texans to just 2-of-12 on third downs. A 1-2 record is no reason to celebrate for the Giants, but there is definitely optimism that this team is capable of making the playoffs after missing the postseason the past two years.

Washington's offense hasn't skipped a beat with Kirk Cousins under center, but its defense is struggling after giving up 37 points to Philadelphia. Cousins was 30-of-48 passing with 427 yards and three touchdowns, but reckless penalties and special teams mistakes cost Washington a chance to beat the Eagles.

Nuts and Bolts

The short week should favor Washington as the home team, but its injury report reads like a novel. Pro Bowl cornerback DeAngelo Hall (ruptured left Achilles) and safety Duke Ihenacho (broken left foot) were placed on injured reserve after Sunday's loss, and the team listed nearly a dozen players as limited or non-participants in practice this week.

Road teams are 0-3 in Thursday night games this season and have been outscored by an average of 27 points per game, but the Giants have had success recently at FedEx Field. They have won six of their last eight games there, including a primetime game in Week 13 last season. Washington hasn’t beaten a divisional foe in nearly two years, having lost seven straight against NFC East teams since Week 17 of 2012.
