Baltimore Ravens offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak was viewed as the frontrunner to become the next Denver Broncos head coach the moment the position became available. Although no deal has been done yet, Kubiak is expected to take the job if offered, per Adam Schefter of ESPN.
Gary Kubiak will reportedly accept Broncos job if offered
The Broncos are quickly trying to assemble their coaching staff after parting with John Fox last week.

Following an upset loss to the Indianapolis Colts in the Divisional round, former Broncos coach John Fox parted ways with the team after five years in Denver. Given his lengthy history in Denver as both a backup quarterback and offensive coordinator, Kubiak was immediately seen as Fox's most likely replacement, even after telling the press that he planned to stay in Baltimore. Still, Kubiak, who is close with general manager John Elway, agreed to interview for the head coaching position this weekend.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, other coaching candidates were so convinced that Kubiak-to-Denver was a done deal that they dropped out of the running. Teryl Austin and Doug Marrone both canceled their interviews this weekend. Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports added that the Broncos’ plan to hire Kubiak “has never been in doubt.”
If Kubiak does accept the job, his defensive coordinator is likely to be Cincinnati Bengals co-defensive backs coach Vance Joseph. He has already interviewed with the Broncos, per La Canfora.
