The Baltimore Ravens hired former Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman on Tuesday to fill their vacant offensive coordinator position. The final details of his contract are still being worked out, but he is expected to receive a three-year deal, reports NFL.com's Ian Rapoport.
Marc Trestman named Ravens offensive coordinator
Trestman will be the Ravens fourth offensive coordinator in as many seasons.

The news comes just a couple days after Gary Kubiak left to become the head coach of the Denver Broncos. Kubiak, in his only season with the Ravens, led the team to a franchise-record 409 points in 2014. Trestman will be the team's fourth offensive coordinator in that same number of seasons.
Trestman joins the Ravens after two disappointing seasons as head coach in Chicago, going 8-8 in 2013 and 5-11 in 2014. Despite his lack of success, Trestman has a strong offensive background and substantial experience as a coordinator at the NFL level.
He spent eight seasons as OC with the Cleveland Browns (1989), San Francisco 49ers (1995-96), Arizona Cardinals (1998-2000) and Oakland Raiders (2002-03), and his teams finished among the top three in scoring offense in four of those years. The Raiders made the Super Bowl in 2003, and quarterback Rich Gannon was named MVP that season under Trestman's tutelage.
Trestman also has ties to the Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome, who played for the Browns while Trestman was on the staff as quarterbacks coach (1988) and offensive coordinator (1989).
