The Pittsburgh Steelers have won back-to-back game after losing to the New England Patriots in Week 1, but the season is in serious doubt with Ben Roethlisberger out 4-to-6 weeks with a knee injury. With all eyes on fill-in Mike Vick, the Steelers will host the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday night in another edition of one of the NFL's hardest-hitting rivalries.
Ravens vs. Steelers 2015 picks and predictions: Experts picking Ravens to finally get a win
One of the NFL’s fiercest rivalries lacks its usual luster with the 0-3 Ravens and Roethlisberger-less Steelers.
The rivalry has had better days, though. The Ravens limp into Week 4 with an 0-3 record after entering the year with high hopes. It's not time to stick a fork in the Ravens quite yet, though -- each of their three losses came down to the wire. But with the Cincinnati Bengals out to a 3-0 start, the urgency for the Ravens to get in the win column is high.
Despite the records, most experts are picking Baltimore to do exactly that against the Steelers on the road. The Steelers have a young defense and rely on an explosive offense with weapons like Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, but with Roethlisberger sidelined, many expect the team to take a step back with Vick inserted into the lineup.
Vick has four Pro Bowls under his belt, but the 35-year-old hasn't played to that level since 2010. Last year, he started three games for the Jets, completing just 52.9 percent of his passes while tossing three touchdowns and two interceptions. With the Steelers, though, he has more playmakers with whom to distribute the ball.
Over at CBS Sports, six of eight panelists are taking the Ravens to get the win. Only Pete Prisco and Will Brinson are going against the grain and taking the Steelers to drop Baltimore to 0-4.
With Vick taking over for Roethlisberger, SB Nation’s team is siding with Baltimore, as well. Joel Thorman and David Fucillo are taking with the home team, but the other experts are going with the Ravens.
