Giants vs. Eagles 2015 picks and predictions: Experts taking Philadelphia to even NFC East

The Giants are 3-2, but most experts are picking the 2-3 Eagles to earn a win on Monday night and climb back into a tie for the NFC East lead.

The New York Giants took a small lead over the rest of the NFC East in Week 5, but immediately have to fight to keep a hold on that lead in a nationally televised road game against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 6. While it's far from unanimous, most experts are taking the Eagles to even up the division standings with a Monday Night Football win.

Eli Manning has been quietly excellent so far in 2015, throwing for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and two interceptions in the first five games of the season. His 100.2 passer rating is the highest of his career and much better than Sam Bradford's 83.7 rating with the Eagles.

Philadelphia looks like it might finally be hitting its stride, though. After struggling to get the rushing offense going early in the year, DeMarco Murray, Ryan Mathews and Darren Sproles combined for 183 yards and two touchdowns in Week 5 against the Saints.

The Giants have been stellar against the run, so it might be on Bradford to keep the Eagles offense efficient against the No. 32 pass defense in the NFL. Likewise, the No. 26 pass defense of the Eagles will have to slow down Manning one week after he threw for 441 yards against the San Francisco 49ers.

At CBS Sports, five of eight panelists are taking the Eagles to win. Pete Prisco, Jared Dubin and Ryan Wilson are the three in the minority going with the Giants. Things are split at ESPN too, where seven of 13 experts are going with Philadelphia, although their best picker so far in 2015, Tom Jackson, is taking New York.

SB Nation’s team is siding with Philly, as well. Five of the seven on the panel, as well as the OddsShark computer, are taking the Eagles to climb into a tie at the top of the NFC East. Only David Fucillo and PFT Commenter are picking the Giants.
