The Giants looked unstoppable to open the game, but it was all Eagles from that point as Philadelphia improved to 3-3.
Eagles take control of NFC East with 27-7 win
The second half belonged entirely to the Eagles’ defense, however. The Giants gained 32 yards on their first five possessions -- all punts. With such futility, it didn’t matter that Bradford tossed another two picks. He could at least get the Eagles’ offense out of the mud on occasion, leading an 85-yard touchdown drive to put the Eagles up 24-7 late in the third quarter and another 40-yard drive for a field goal that essentially put the game to rest.
The Eagles improve to 3-3, which in the NFC East is good enough to put them tentatively in the driver’s seat to a division title. Few would have guessed that they would be in this position after beginning the season 1-3. The fact that they are here may say something about the team, as well as the state of the battered division this season.

Eric Hartline-USA TODAY SportsDarren Sproles was forced to leave Monday night’s game against the New York Giants briefly after hitting the back of his head hard on the turf on a third quarter punt return. He was looked at by trainers on the sideline before being taken into the locker room. The Eagles announced that Sproles was being evaluated for a head injury. The running back was able to return in the fourth quarter.
Sproles had been having a quiet outing against the Giants with two touches for just seven total yards, but he has been an important part of Chip Kelly’s offense with the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Playing a primarily third-down role, he had 235 total yards entering Monday, and two touchdown including a punt return for score against the New York Jets in Week 3.

Don’t be so scared, Sam. That’s just a really bad snap. Nothing more, nothing less.

Eli’s brother has his famous “Omaha” audible, but Eli wants to carve out his own niche.
Although we can’t say for sure what “Fred Flintstone” represents, in this instance it resulted in an incomplete deep ball. Might have been better off hopping in the car with Barney and running the ball down the field.

Star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. is expected to play Monday night when the New York Giants travel to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles, according to Mark Eckel of NJ Advanced Media. Unless Beckham suffers a setback during pregame warmups, Eli Manning will have this top target on the field for the key NFC East matchup.
Beckham was not listed on the pregame inactives list, which means he should play on Monday.

MNF is Bradford’s chance to arrive

Bill Streicher-USA TODAY SportsIf anything, Bradford has been close to exactly the same quarterback that Chip Kelly sent away to St. Louis in exchange for what he thought was an upgrade, but with fewer wins.
That’s not to say the 2-3 record is Bradford’s fault. The defense is No. 22 in the NFL and the revamped backfield managed just 70 rushing yards in the first two weeks before finally getting going and averaging 132 yards per game in the last three games.

The division is totally up for grabs. The Giants are on top at 3-2, while Washington, Dallas and Philadelphia are all 2-3 on the season.
And it probably will be a battle of quarterbacks, as neither team has been effective running the football this year. The Giants are ranked 26th in the league with 456 rushing yards and a 3.9 yards per attempt on the year, while the Eagles rank 23rd with 466 yards and 3.8 yards per attempt. Meanwhile, the Giants come in at No. 7 in the league in passing offense, while the Eagles aren’t too far behind at No. 13. The Eagles have thrown the fifth-most interceptions in the league, however.

At CBS Sports, five of eight panelists are taking the Eagles to win. Pete Prisco, Jared Dubin and Ryan Wilson are the three in the minority going with the Giants. Things are split at ESPN too, where seven of 13 experts are going with Philadelphia, although their best picker so far in 2015, Tom Jackson, is taking New York.
SB Nation’s team is siding with Philly, as well. Five of the seven on the panel, as well as the OddsShark computer, are taking the Eagles to climb into a tie at the top of the NFC East. Only David Fucillo and PFT Commenter are picking the Giants.

36.84: That’s the percentage of red zone trips on which the Giants actually find the end zone. Trips inside the 20-yard line have been an adventure for New York all season, including a three-for-six night on Monday. Eli’s 100.2 passer rating drops to 80 inside the 20. An ugly first-half end zone pick against the Niners was a big reason he needed to engineer a comeback drive in the first place. Philly, meanwhile, is allowing opponents to score six on fewer than 47 percent of trips into the red zone, good for eighth in the NFL.
