After an 0-2 start, the New York Giants have moved into first place in the NFC East, and will be looking to solidify their grip with a win Monday night against the Philadelphia Eagles. The division's other three teams, including the Eagles, are all 2-3, so a slip by the Giants could result in more chaos.

The Eagles will have to find a way to stop Eli Manning.
New York has gotten to 3-2 behind Eli Manning's passing and a stout run defense. Manning has thrown 10 touchdown passes as opposed to just two interceptions, and threw for 441 yards and three scores in last Sunday's come-from-behind win over the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants lead the NFL in stopping the run, with opponents averaging 3.5 yards a carry.
Philadelphia is almost as good against the run, ranking third, and with neither team possessing a great run game, expect this one to be decided through the air. That gives the advantage to the Giants -- Manning has outperformed Sam Bradford thus far, even though he's been been stuck with a shorthanded receiving corps all season. Victor Cruz and Rueben Randle are both expected to be out again Monday night, leaving a banged-up Odell Beckham Jr., tight end Larry Donnell and several people that offensive coordinator Ben McAdoo found on the street.
The Eagles would be much better off if DeMarco Murray could get anything going, but he's averaging 2.7 yards a carry, and Ryan Mathews has been the more reliable back. Bradford will be looking for Jordan Matthews and tight end Zach Ertz as he tries to keep up with Manning.
