Darren Sproles leaves game, returns after being evaluated for head injury vs. Giants
Darren Sproles hit his head hard on the turf before leaving Sunday’s game.

Sproles had been having a quiet outing against the Giants with two touches for just seven total yards, but he has been an important part of Chip Kelly’s offense with the Philadelphia Eagles this season. Playing a primarily third-down role, he had 235 total yards entering Monday, and two touchdown including a punt return for score against the New York Jets in Week 3.
Should Sproles go out again, the Eagles would likely rely more on DeMarco Murray and Ryan Mathews on offense. Mathews in particular has proven he is a very capable pass catcher in the NFL.
Sproles is in his second season with the Eagles after establishing himself as a dangerous receiver, runner and return man with the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints. He had 716 total yards and six touchdowns last season.
