Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor has been ruled out for the team’s game in London against the Jacksonville Jaguars, head coach Rex Ryan announced on Thursday. Taylor is banged up and is primarily dealing with a knee injury that also forced him out of the team’s Week 6 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.

EJ Manuel will get the start for the second week in a row.

“Not going to force him out there when he’s not fully healed,” Ryan said.
EJ Manuel made the start in that game and played well at times, but the Bills dropped the game to the Bengals, 34-21. Manuel completed 28 of 42 passes for 263 yards, a touchdown and an interception. He also rushed for 22 yards and a touchdown.
“It’s all about building off of what I did last week, about executing,” Manuel said about starting this Sunday.
Taylor won a three-way quarterback competition against Manuel and Matt Cassel this offseason, and the Bills were pleased with his play through five games of the season. He’s completed 70.1 percent of his passes for 1,097 yards and nine touchdowns with four interceptions. He also had 187 rushing yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
In 19 career games, Taylor has completed 66.9 percent of his passes for 1,296 yards, nine touchdowns and six interceptions.
Taylor and Manuel split first-team reps in Wednesday’s practice, though Taylor did not practice on Thursday. The Bills will play the Jaguars in London at 9:30 a.m. ET
