A 4-1 record has the New York Jets brimming with confidence and sure that they can take down the 5-0 New England Patriots in Week 7, but experts aren't as sure. In fact, almost all experts are taking the Patriots to stay undefeated and get through the NFL's top-rated defense.
Jets vs. Patriots 2015 picks and predictions: Experts nearly unanimous in picking New England
Only a couple of experts were willing to pick against the undefeated Patriots and side with the 4-1 Jets instead.
Jets defensive lineman Sheldon Richardson said earlier in the week that if the Jets can execute against the Patriots, it will be another win for New York. And while he says those quotes were taken out of context, there are plenty of reasons to think the Jets are well set up to pull off the upset and take over the AFC East lead.
Still, no team has scored more points per game than the Patriots and it's hard to argue that any quarterback is playing better football than Tom Brady right now. The 10-time Pro Bowler and two-time NFL MVP has 14 touchdowns and just one interception to lead the league with a 118.4 passer rating
At CBS Sports, seven of eight panelists don’t trust the Jets to stop the Patriots and are taking the defending Super Bowl champions to improve to 6-0. Only Jason La Canfora is going against the grain and taking the Jets. At ESPN, only Mike Golic is taking the Jets, while the other 12 experts are taking the Patriots.
SB Nation’s team is siding with the Patriots, as well, although not one expert was willing to take the Jets.
