Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford has had an interesting beginning to his career with the team. The Eagles are 3-3 on the season, well in contention within the NFC East, one of the weaker divisions in football at this stage, and Bradford has looked good at times and downright awful at others.
‘Sunday Night Football’ 2015 live stream: How to watch Eagles vs. Panthers online
Sam Bradford and the Eagles will try to hand the Panthers their first loss of the season on Sunday.
It will be his job to unseat the undefeated Carolina Panthers under the bright lights of Sunday Night Football in Week 7, and you can watch his attempt via NBC Sports, once the game gets underway at 8:30 p.m. ET.
Bradford, despite not being sacked any more than about half the quarterbacks in the league, has thrown the second-most interceptions of any quarterback in the NFL. He has nine picks on the year, the same amount of touchdowns he’s thrown. He’s completed 63.2 percent of his passes for 1,561 yards.
But the Eagles are riding a two-game winning streak, beating both the New Orleans Saints and division rival New York Giants. That counts for something, but their biggest test of the season looms.
The Panthers are a much-better quarterbacked team, and they’re backed by a far superior defense as well. The Panthers rank fifth in the NFL in total defense, while the Eagles rank 18th. Bradford leads the league’s No. 12 ranked offense, and that’s one of the few areas they actually have the edge, as Carolina ranks all the way down at 30th in the league in that stat.
Cam Newton has played well, though. The Panthers aren't putting up huge yardage, but Newton isn't making mistakes and he's got a tough defense backing him up. Handing the Panthers their first loss of the year will not be easy.
