Cowboys vs. Saints 2015 live stream: Time, TV schedule and how to watch online

The Saints will be searching for their first win against the shorthanded Cowboys

Drew Brees will be back Sunday night against the Cowboys. Tony Romo won't be playing for Dallas, so that's a huge advantage to New Orleans.

Unless Brees can play defense, though, the Saints are still going to have major problems on NBC's Sunday Night Football (available online here). New Orleans has struggled all season along the front seven, and playing Dallas' outstanding offensive line is not going to help. In their 0-3 start, the Saints only have four sacks -- two by Hau'oli Kikaha, who has also forced two fumbles.

Kikaha will need some help, because the Saints can't let Brandon Weeden get comfortable. He wasn't able to throw the ball deep in last week's loss to the Atlanta Falcons, but was efficient underneath, averaging 10.5 yards a completion while hitting 84.6 percent of his throws. Eighteen of his 22 completions were to running backs and tight ends, though, as no one has stepped up to replace Dez Bryant as a downfield threat. The Saints could give him more opportunities to hit receivers -- they rank 22nd in the league against the pass, and still haven't intercepted a pass.

Joseph Randle and Lance Dunbar have given Dallas some offense out of the backfield. Randle had 87 yards rushing and three touchdowns in the Atlanta loss, while Dunbar caught 10 passes for 100 yards. They still aren't putting up the huge numbers that DeMarco Murray posted a year ago, but they have given Dallas enough of a threat to keep opposing defenses from keying on Weeden. They should be able to do even more against a New Orleans defense that comes into the game ranked just 26th against the run.

Dallas should be able to move the ball, then, but will they be able to stop Brees? The Cowboys were chewed up by the Falcons' big three, as Matt Ryan threw for 285 yards and two touchdowns, Julio Jones had 12 catches for 164 yards and both touchdown catches and Devonta Freeman had 193 yards of total offense and three scores of his own. Of course, Atlanta is 3-0, and the Saints are 0-3, and don't have three skill players that are likely to put up those numbers.

Brees can certainly put up numbers as well as any quarterback in recent memory, and he has more than 600 yards passing despite suffering a shoulder injury in Week 2. But he needs someone to get on the other end of his passes. Brandin Cooks has a team-high 16 catches for 190 yards, but Marques Colston (11-145, no TDs) and Willie Snead (10-151, 1 TD) haven't been able to provide much help. Ben Watson has nine catches for 73 yards in three games - a total that would have been one good game for Jimmy Graham a year ago.

Mark Ingram hasn't done much on the ground, averaging just 42.3 yards rushing on 3.3 yards per attempt, but he's caught 16 passes for 152 yards. Dallas has the eighth-best rush defense in the league, so it isn't likely that Ingram will bust out against them.
