Chicago Bears running back Matt Forte left the team's game against the Minnesota Vikings with a knee injury on Sunday. Forte headed to the locker room and has been ruled out for the rest of the game.

The Bears don’t believe he suffered an ACL injury, but rather the less-serious MCL, according to Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports. Forte has to undergo further testing before the team knows for sure.

Forte had 10 carries for 41 yards and four receptions for 28 yards before leaving the game. The Bears’ starting running back has been playing well this season with 126 carries for 507 yards and two touchdowns going into Sunday’s game. He’s also recorded 21 catches for 191 yards and a touchdown reception this season.

Quarterback Jay Cutler is the second-leading rusher on the team with 14 carries for 82 yards this season. Behind Forte, there's not much. Jacquizz Rodgers is listed as his primary backup with 14 carries for 41 yards on the season. Rookie fourth-round pick Jeremy Langford has a lot of potential, but he has just 15 carries for 34 yards and two touchdowns in 2015.

The Bears also lost wide receiver Eddie Royal for the game. He exited with a knee injury and will not return.
