‘Monday Night Football’ 2015 live stream: How to watch Ravens vs. Browns online

The stoppable force meets the movable object.

It’s safe to say Josh McCown vs. Matt Schaub wasn’t the matchup ESPN had in mind when they made their Monday Night Football schedule this spring. Yet, that’s the primetime “showdown” we have here between the Baltimore Ravens (3-7) and Cleveland Browns (2-8). The game will be streamed live on the WatchESPN app, if you dare.

The Ravens gutted out a sloppy win over the St. Louis Rams last week, but it came at a heavy price. Joe Flacco tore his ACL and Justin Forsett broke his arm, leaving both out for the rest of the season. That means Baltimore is forced to turn to Matt Schaub -- yes, that Matt Schaub. The one who once threw a pick-six in four straight games. And he’ll be handing the ball off to somebody named Javorius “Buck” Allen. And he won’t have Steve Smith to throw to. Yeah, it’s one of those seasons in Baltimore.

Things haven’t been much better for the Browns, who are once again in the news for all the wrong reasons. Johnny Manziel was named the starting quarterback for the rest of the year, but he immediately threw away his shot when a video surfaced of him partying during the bye week, one that he reportedly lied to his coaches about. Manziel has since been dropped to third-string and might have played his last game in a Browns uniform, while McCown presumably has the job for good. Just another day in Cleveland.

The only real thing at stake here is draft position, so let’s examine that. As things stand, the Browns would draft ahead of the Ravens, but Baltimore already lost to Cleveland in Week 5, so another loss would give the Ravens the head-to-head tiebreaker. With Schaub under center, that scenario seems quite likely.

And when is all said and done, this will still be one of the highest-rated TV shows of Monday night, because we as a nation cannot help ourselves.
