Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota will start Sunday's game against the New Orleans Saints, the team announced on Friday. Mariota, the second overall pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, has sat out the last two games due to a knee injury.
Marcus Mariota will start vs. Saints
Mike Mularkey will have his starting quarterback on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints.

The Titans’ problems extend far beyond that though, as the team has lost their last six games, and 16 of the last 17. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt was fired on Tuesday and replaced by Mike Mularkey. Getting the Titans back into the win column will be a tall task for Mularkey, but he’ll have his starting quarterback available at the very least.
Mariota has completed 64.0 percent of his passes for 1,239 yards with nine touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also been sacked 19 times and has been banged up this season. His replacement was Zach Mettenberger, who completed 49 of 74 passes for 421 yards with a touchdown and three interceptions.
The Titans are 1-6 on the season, winning Mariota’s very first start but losing every game since. They will be playing the Saints on Sunday, and Mariota will have his hands full trying to keep up with Drew Brees. The Saints are also struggling this season, but have won three consecutive games. They are 4-4 on the season.
