McCoy was having a big game before going down with the injury.

McCoy was having a strong game for the Bills prior to leaving with the injury. He had 16 carries for 112 yards and a touchdown, and also caught two passes for seven yards.
He has struggled off and on since being acquired in a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles this offseason. He had 312 carries for 1,319 yards and five touchdowns with the Eagles in 2014.
Karlos Williams is the primary backup for McCoy. He is running well this year, with 42 carries for 226 yards and three touchdowns, a per-carry average of 5.4 yards. He'll take the primary snaps with McCoy on the sidelines.
