Giants DE waived after reportedly fighting teammate over free ‘Beats’ headphones

Headphones: serious business.

Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Giants released defensive end Damontre Moore on Friday for a violation of team rules. Moore has struggled since the Giants took him in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft, but he was reportedly released "in part" because he got into a fight with a teammate, according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network.

No team likes fighting between players, but this one sounds especially stupid: Moore got into a fight with Cullen Jenkins over not getting a free pair of Beats By Dre headphones like some other players, according to Rapoport.

Apparently, Odell Beckham Jr. was giving them out and Jenkins took multiple pairs!

Those headphones can run from around $100 to a few hundred dollars, especially when they’re customized like the sets players typically receive. It’s a shame he didn’t at least fight over some nicer headphones!
