The Arizona Cardinals have already punched their ticket to the postseason, but can lock up the NFC West crown and stay in the driver's seat for a first-round bye by dispatching the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football. Just a couple weeks ago, the game would've appeared to be set up for a blowout in favor of the Cardinals, but the Eagles have earned back-to-back victories and are now in the thick of the playoff hunt too.
Cardinals vs. Eagles 2015 picks and predictions: Arizona gets near-unanimous backing from experts
Almost every expert is taking the Cardinals to win a franchise-record eighth consecutive game.
The game, which can be streamed via NBC Sports Live Extra, is the furthest trip east for the Cardinals, although it’s not much further than the team’s Week 6 road trip to Pittsburgh, which ended in a 25-13 loss for Arizona. The Cardinals haven’t lost since and can win a franchise-record eighth consecutive game on Sunday.
Philadelphia is hot too though after beating the New England Patriots and Buffalo Bills in back-to-back weeks. The Eagles haven't managed a three-game winning streak all season and could certainly use a win on Sunday to stay in the thick of a razor-thin NFC East race with Washington and New York.
At CBS Sports, Will Brinson is the only one on the eight-man panel to take the Eagles to win, while only Seth Wickersham picked against the Cardinals on ESPN’s 13-man panel.
SB Nation’s team is siding with Arizona, as well. The entire seven-man panel is taking the Cardinals to improve to 12-2, and the OddsShark computer is projecting an Eagles loss too.
