The New Orleans Saints have reached a deal on a three-year agreement with free agent cornerback Brandon Browner. The news was first reported by Pro Football Talk, and Mike Garafolo reported the deal is for three years.

Financial terms of the contract have not been announced, and nothing is official at this point, but the three-year deal is expected to be worth $15 million with $10 million guaranteed, according to Adam Schefter. It wouldn’t be out of line with the kind of deals corners have been signing in the current free agent market.
Browner's former teammate in Seattle, Byron Maxwell, inked a $63 million deal with Eagles this week, including $25 million guaranteed on the six-year contract.
Browner was part of Seattle's Super Bowl-winning team in 2013, though a December 2013 PED suspension kept him out of the big game. After the season, he signed a free agent deal with the New England Patriots, a three-year contract worth $17 million. He played a significant role in the Patriots championship run last season before he became a cap casualty in New England. Two straight seasons with two straight Super Bowl winners, though -- if nothing else, that's a nice omen for Saints fans to rally around in what's looking like a rebuilding year.
The cornerback position bedeviled the Saints last season. New Orleans’ secondary gave up more than 4,000 yards and 26 touchdowns, putting it comfortably among the bottom third of all NFL teams in both categories. Browner would give the Saints a physical man coverage corner.
