Saints trade Kenny Stills to the Dolphins, per report
The Saints will reportedly ship the young receiver to Miami as part of their overall rebuilding efforts.
Stills is the latest Saints player to be shipped out of town by general manager Mickey Loomis, who is attempting to reshape the team after getting into massive cap problems. In recent days, Loomis dealt Jimmy Graham to the Seattle Seahawks and Ben Grubbs to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Stills, 22, has been productive over his first two seasons after being a fifth-round draft pick from the University of Oklahoma. Stills caught 32 passes for 641 yards and five touchdowns as a rookie before vaulting to 63 receptions for 931 yards and three touchdowns last season. Stills became the second receiver behind Marques Colston, earning the trust of Drew Brees.
Stills provides a deep threat with elite speed, showcased by his career mark of 16.5 yards per reception. At 6’ and 194 pounds, Stills has average size but can leap, giving him an advantage against undersized corners.
