Free agent wide receiver Greg Jennings is signing with the Miami Dolphins, according to Yahoo! Sports’ Rand Getlin. Jennings will be reunited with his former offensive coordinator Joe Philbin.
Greg Jennings agrees to 2-year deal with Dolphins
It tooks some time, but the veteran receiver has finally found a new home.

Jennings was cut by the Minnesota Vikings this offseason after signing a five-year, $45 million deal with the team in 2013. In two years in Minnesota, Jennings had just 127 catches for 1,546 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Vikings also recently took on a sizable contract by trading for Miami Dolphins receiver Mike Wallace. That ultimately helped lead to Jennings being cut after he and the Vikings couldn't agree to a restructured contract. Jennings is also recovering from minor elbow surgery, but that doesn't appear to have affected his market significantly.
A former second-round pick out of Western Michigan in the 2006 NFL Draft, Jennings played his first seven seasons in Green Bay, where he caught 425 passes for 6,537 yards and 53 touchdowns.
As soon as he was cut, Jennings become one of the top free agent receivers available. While he may not be capable of playing at the same level as his Packers days, Jennings should still have enough left in the tank to be a solid No. 2 receiver in 2015.
