The NFL has rejected La'el Collins' request to be removed from the 2015 NFL Draft and placed in this year's supplemental draft, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN. Collins is scheduled to meet with investigators to be questioned regarding the murder of his ex-girlfriend.
NFL denies La’el Collins’ request to be placed in supplemental draft, per report
The NFL won’t allow Collins to enter the supplemental draft in the summer, meaning he’s draft eligible heading into Thursday night.

Police say Collins is not a suspect in the shooting death of Brittany Mills, who was eight months pregnant at the time. Reports suggest the meeting is taking place in part to determine the paternity of the child, who survived delivery. Collins is supposed to meet with authorities after the NFL Draft.
Collins was expected to be a first-round pick Thursday night, but once news linked him to this situation even slightly, teams were immediately scared away. It’s unclear to what extent he might fall in the NFL Draft, but considering he made this request at all, it stands to reason he’s seriously concerned about where he could end up going.
There was no precedent for the league allowing a player to enter the supplemental draft for any reason other than a college eligibility change. As tweeted by Albert Breer of the NFL Network, the CBA states that “No player may elect to bypass a draft for which he is eligible to apply for selection in a supplemental draft.” It would have gone directly against the CBA to make this exception.
